Sun or Star

There is something magical about how looking at a piece of wood / tree and letting your mind take you to what the piece of wood will look like as a sculpture. My current project is this tree root is it a sun or star we will have to wait and see!

Whilst walking in the stream at my parents house with my family i came across this piece of river driftwood an old tree root straight away i knew it was special the results are below

Eternal Flame

The timber yard in Cornwall Crocodon has a variety and types of wood that is always an inspiration. When i was there last March i came across this piece of wood that looked like a fencepost but to me it looked like a flame the result is below.
